On December 13, 2024, we participated in the Global AI Show held in Dubai. This exhibition is an international event where companies from all over the world with innovative solutions that utilize AI technology gather together. As we were the only participant from Japan, it was a valuable opportunity to experience the forefront of the global AI business. At this exhibition, held in Dubai, an important hub connecting Asia and Europe and the United States, we were able to get a firsthand feel for the trends in the global AI business.

The forefront of global AI business: Differences with Japan

What was most striking about this exhibition was the completely different exhibit trends from those seen at AI-related exhibitions in Japan. There were no exhibits of corporate training services or business efficiency tools using ChatGPT, which are mainstream at domestic exhibitions. Instead, the following distinctive trends were observed:

• Focus on specialized exhibits focused on infrastructure and data processing
• Exhibits that emphasize technological innovation over practical solutions
• We have a wide range of proposals for multilingual systems that are suitable for global expansion.

These differences suggest that the Japanese AI market is focused on relatively general-purpose solutions, while the global market is becoming more specialized and technology-oriented.

New trends in consumer AI services The following characteristics were observed in B2C services:

• Many AI-based SNS inquiry management systems on display
• Proposing an integrated customer support solution

Future outlook: Enthusiasm for collecting primary information from around the world

Through our participation in the Dubai AI EXPO, we have gained important knowledge about the development of global AI business. Based on this experience, we would like to share our vision for future global expansion.

I would especially like to focus on continuously collecting primary information. My experience in Dubai has made me realize the importance of going to the site and seeing and hearing things directly. This raw information, such as the AI technologies actually being used in each region, the solutions that are being sought, and the issues that are being faced on the ground, provides valuable insights that are difficult to obtain online.

In addition, we will share the collected information with Japanese business people through our YouTube channel "Chaen [AI Research Institute] ~ Sharing the latest AI information that can be used at work ~ By Digirise". We plan to share information with a particular focus on the following points:

• Explanation of market characteristics and entry opportunities by region

Through this type of information dissemination, we aim to contribute to the development of Japan's AI industry as a whole. We will not only introduce the latest trends from around the world to Japan, but also fulfill our role as a member of the global AI ecosystem by realizing two-way information exchange that disseminates Japanese AI technology and case studies to the world.

In the future, we plan to participate in more international exhibitions and conferences to deepen our dialogue with AI companies around the world. We are confident that the knowledge we gain from these efforts will not only contribute to the development of the AI industry in Japan, but also to the development of the global AI business.
