Company Introduction
Quality One Law Firm is based in Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture, and provides legal services with a focus on corporate law. The representative also serves as the representative of a social insurance and labor consultant office and a subsidy application support company, providing a wide range of legal and management support. Although we are a small firm, we proactively incorporate the latest legal information and systems, and prioritize supporting our clients.
As part of this, we took a reskilling course and decided to introduce generative AI. By utilizing AI technology, we aim to improve the efficiency and accuracy of our work and are working to improve our daily operations.
Issues before implementation
In addition to regular legal work, we also handle public relations and communication work such as seminar materials, e-mail magazines, and newsletters. Writing legal articles and preparing seminar materials are tasks that require the expertise of a lawyer, but we often have to respond quickly, so balancing the quality and speed of our work was a major challenge.
Additionally, in order to further enhance support for client companies, the company was considering using AI in legal checks.
However, some employees felt that introducing the tools was a hurdle, and although there was a need to improve work efficiency, a lack of appropriate know-how within the company was a hindrance.
Benefits of using generative AI
We have used generative AI to improve the efficiency of lawyers' work. In particular, when creating e-mail newsletter articles and seminar materials, AI generates drafts and lawyers edit them as necessary. This has significantly reduced the time it takes to create materials, allowing lawyers to focus more on their core work.
Furthermore, by having the AI learn the guidelines for each task, it has become possible to provide information quickly. Currently, about 20 specialized bots are in operation, and AI supports preparation before legal consultation and the creation of initial drafts of documents. This has improved the speed of work and also led to a reduction in errors.
Future outlook
At present, generative AI is mainly used by lawyers, but in the future, we plan to expand its use to administrative staff and new employees as well. In particular, we plan to develop an educational bot for new employees and put in place a system to help them catch up on their work quickly.
AI will also be used to improve the efficiency of document preparation for subsidy applications. By having AI study the application guidelines and past adoption cases, the company aims to reduce the workload and improve accuracy by automatically generating drafts of application documents.
Quality One Law Firm will continue to actively adopt AI technology to further improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
