Generative AI opens new doors in business ─ Not just improving business efficiency, but also transforming the way we work
MJE Co., Ltd.

Issues before implementation
- There was little internal understanding of the use of generative AI, with many saying, "I'd like to use it, but I don't know how to use it," and so its use had not progressed.
- Writing minutes and emails took up a lot of time, and the overlapping tasks also caused a psychological burden.
- There was a sense of urgency to raise the literacy of all employees as soon as possible so as not to be left behind by the evolution of generative AI.
Effects after implementation
- Through the training, employees' understanding of AI has deepened, they have been able to use it in a practical way, and they have become more conscious of improving work efficiency.
- It became easier to start writing minutes and emails, which not only reduced the time required to complete the tasks, but also had the secondary effect of reducing the psychological burden.
- By working to improve literacy, employees have become less averse to using technology, and the company has created an environment in which it is easier to improve operations using generative AI.

Company Introduction
MJE Co., Ltd. has a mission of "for Workplace Innovation - contributing to corporate growth by improving the workplace."
The company is engaged in SS (Space Solutions) and ICT businesses.
Based on the philosophy of "Makes Japan Energetic" incorporated into our company name, we aim to bring out the vitality of companies and revitalize Japan through a variety of services that support the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises and startups across the country.
A sense of challenge
While routine daily tasks such as creating minutes and emails and correcting text were time-consuming, it was unclear which generative AI services to use, how to use them, and what risks they faced, which prevented the company from improving work efficiency.
The impact was greatest in the administrative department, where, with limited resources, they were unable to find time to focus on higher value-added tasks.
Furthermore, as generative AI evolves rapidly, there is a growing awareness that "all employees need to learn from scratch in order to use generative AI effectively." For this reason, we are promoting training programs to promote the effective use of generative AI, including the risks involved in its use and specific operating methods, with the aim of improving the literacy of all employees.
We are also preparing to introduce generative AI tools across the company, which we hope will improve work efficiency and generate new ideas. We are taking on this challenge by standardizing skills across departments, laying the foundation for using generative AI within the company, and aiming for further growth and providing high value to our customers.
Benefits of using generative AI
The decision to fully implement generative AI has resulted in improved efficiency in routine document processing, such as writing emails and meeting minutes, across the company, including the Information Systems Department.
One employee commented, "The biggest change is that I no longer get stuck trying to decide how to start an email, and I can now get started smoothly. This means I can move on to the next task without losing focus, and my work efficiency has improved."
Furthermore, some people commented, "I'm not good at writing essays, but since they can prepare the draft for me, the pressure of meeting deadlines has been reduced," pointing out secondary benefits such as a reduction in psychological burden.
We are also currently working on developing in-house bots that utilize generative AI, such as a bot to correct email text and a bot to respond to inquiries about the company's information systems.
Although the bot is still in the experimental stage, it is expected to play a role in providing a starting point for information searches and guidelines for business decisions. By further improving its accuracy and lowering the barrier to use for beginners, the bot will be able to support a wider range of internal business operations.
Future outlook
We do not want the use of generative AI to end as a one-off effort, but are continually working to improve literacy throughout the company. As part of this, we also hold in-house training sessions. We also aim to establish the use of AI by providing gradual learning opportunities (steps) according to the skill level of each employee.
Additionally, we will explore the possibility of speeding up operations by utilizing rapidly developing design and video generation technologies, as well as the possibility of using AI to detect early warning signs and provide alerts based on contract information and historical data collected from each business.
Furthermore, generative AI is expected to play a role in helping to interpret and visualize accumulated data.
