Fabius Inc. is a beauty brand company that operates a D2C and subscription mail order business for cosmetics and health foods.
With the theme of "Making everyone beautiful," our group consistently handles everything from product development to delivery to customers and customer service.
Leveraging both marketing and product development capabilities, the company's flagship product, "Sukkiri Fruit Aojiru," has exceeded 13 billion yen in annual sales in the three years since its release. In recent years, the company has also ventured into importing and selling juices and wines made from rare fruits from overseas, and handles all licensing and trade procedures in-house.
We provide high-quality products and services, leveraging our speed and uniqueness.
A sense of challenge
There were three main challenges the company faced.
First, we must deal with initiatives where the goal or correct answer is unclear.
When undertaking new businesses or unprecedented challenges, there is a constant state of trial and error, as to which direction to go in order to create products that will please customers. This is a difficult task even for veteran employees, and the company has many young employees, so they work together as a team, regardless of gender or experience, but moving towards a clear goal remains a challenge.
Second, building flexible teamwork.
As the business expanded, there was a constant need to change the division of roles and create a system for collaboration with new members.
Thirdly, there are differences in culture and customs regarding collaboration with external parties.
In particular, when dealing with overseas business partners, there are large differences in culture, customs, and values across industries and countries, and collaborating with partners who have completely different foundations has been an ongoing challenge.
In this situation, there was a need for a way to improve the accuracy of information gathering and advance preparation, and to improve the quality of communication.

Furthermore, by allowing employees to share the same information infrastructure, it has become easier to collaborate between departments and with new members, contributing to the development of teamwork. As a result of the increased common understanding of information, the direction of work and the speed of decision-making have improved.
Additionally, the time required to gather information, such as overseas papers and supporting documents for advertising reviews, has been significantly reduced, with research that previously took eight hours now being completed in just ten minutes.
It is also useful for reviewing policies before starting work, such as legal confirmation and planning, and has sped up the creation of the foundation for work. In particular, the "Deep Research" function has encouraged new ideas and consideration from different perspectives.
Future outlook
In the future, we aim to have more employees utilize generative AI, further facilitating communication both inside and outside the company.
If communication can be carried out by bridging information gaps, collaboration between departments and with business partners will be strengthened, leading to improved teamwork.
Furthermore, in the process of using generative AI, I have become aware of my own shortcomings in questions and information organization, which is beneficial when conversing with people, and I feel that it is also valuable as a tool that allows me to view myself objectively.
The company aims to use generative AI as a familiar "partner" to stimulate curiosity and enhance new ideas and the ability to express things in words.
Ultimately, our goal is to create an experience that makes customers feel excited and glad they used our products when they pick them up, and to utilize the technology in two ways: to improve business efficiency and communication quality.
